REACHING OUT -- ADVOCATING RECOVERY

Can you hear the ROAR of the community?

Pastor Danny Green from Community Bible Chapel is leading a group of community-involved citizens and Spokane County agencies in the quest to remove the stigmatism attached to addiction and treatment.

MISSION

The voice that unites agencies, families and the community
to bring awareness and understanding concerning addiction.
Revealing hope and opportunities to help those seeking recovery.

The sooner the addict gets into treatment, the better
Treatment does not have to be voluntary to be effective, but ultimately the addict must take personal responsibility for his or her recovery.
Addiction is a brain disease
Addiction is a treatable illness
The positive view is the one that can change America's conversation - and its experience with addiction.
Addiction is NOT a moral failure.
Addiction should be viewed as a chronic illness, one that may require continuing care, also known as "aftercare", which increases the chances of prolonged recovery.
